Present funding for an economic <br />input-output mOdel that is state wide in scope is expected to <br />produce results meaningful for the state Water Plan, as well as <br />for state water resources evaluations. <br /> <br />(3) Specific opportunities for the state to make a <br />substantial advance in comprehensive and related land resources <br />planning. <br /> <br />with the current growth problem that Colorado is facing <br />and the present need for water resources planning in the con-' <br />junctive use, reuse, and irrigation efficiency areas, as well as <br />the consideration and evaluation of water augmentation and <br />environmental alternatives to be considered in the State Water <br />Plan, there is a great opportunity to effect substantial advances <br />in state water and related land resources planning. <br /> <br />(4) Progress toward developing Board staff capability <br />for comprehensive water and related land resources planning. <br /> <br />For all practical purposes, the staff of the Board has <br />not appreciably increased during the past thirty years, yet the <br />workload has increased at least fivefold. It has become increas- <br />ingly difficult to allocate professional expertise to the many <br />Board endeavors for more than adequate project and investigation <br />completions.
