The Board is charged with <br />the responsibility of fostering wise and economic use of the state's <br />water resources. The Board takes into consideration economic and <br />relevant assumptions and projections made by other planning agencies <br />in its planning to formulate the best economic use for a subject <br />area or locality. A complete record of engineering and economic <br />feasibility reports of any proposed water construction or flood <br />control project within the state is on file in the Board's library <br />for public use. As state coordinator of water and related land <br />resources planning, the Board initiates water related planning <br />studies for economic depressed areas when the need arises for the <br />augmentation of water supplies to foster economic growth. <br /> <br />It is expected that through formal planning studies that <br />may be supplemented with special research of other s~ate agencies, <br />universities, etc., sound water and related land resources develop- <br />ment will continue within the state of Colorado. <br /> <br />9 <br />
