Installation services cost estimates include the costs for
Service personnel to: (1) complete foundation and spillway
investigations and soils investigations using power drill and
test pits to obtain samples for geologic and soil laboratory
analysis to assist in the structural design, (2) overhead costs
for local, state, Engineering and Watershed Planning Unit,
Cartographic Unit, and Washington personnel and (3) stakeout,
inspection, supervision, completion and related costs for
construction completion of structures.

Other Costs,- These are sponsor costs paid from local funds
and include: (1) Administration of contracts, and (2) Land, ease-
ments, and rights-of-way.

Administration of contracts include estimated costs for
administrative, legal and clerical services incurred by the
Contracting Local Organization in carrying out the letting and
completion of construction contracts. This will also include the cost
of a local Contracting Officer or Sponsor Representative to work
with the contractor and the Soil Conservation Service personnel,

Land, easements, and rights-of-way costs include all estimated
expenditures by the sponsors to provide all of the necessary land,
easements, and rights-of-way for the design, construction, completion
and later access for operation, inspection and maintenance of the
structures.

A local realty firm which deals in ranches estimated the per
acre value of the land needed in easements and rights-of-way.
