\

The Amity Mutual Irrigation Company

lh1 QZdentials Committee then gave their preliminary
report. Outstanding shares of stock of 34,662.86 and there is
represented at said meeting by person and by proxy, the sum
of 32,208.82 shares and that there is a majority of stock
represented and a quorum for the transaction of business.
Leo POllart made motion to perfect temporary organiza-
tion. Jewell Seufer seconded and the motion carried.
Attorney Carl Shinn then gave his report. He said that in a
Division of Wildlife report, they estimated that $43 was spent
every 24 hours by fisherman; this in answer to the question of
dollars in relevance to recreation versus farming.
He also commented that for the first time in 14 years, the
Amity has no lawsuit in Water, District or Supreme Court, and
that only one case is pending that Amity is interested in; thaI
being the Holbrook application for permit to store water and
pump oullater. He, then, talked on history of the Trinidad Dam
and how it hurt Amity. There is a new application from Trinidad
to get a decree for storage.
Paul Frank talked on meeting in Denver and he thought
that Trinidad is not operating according to decree, and an
appeal should be filed against this new decree. Also, water
sold by a Pueblo ditch should be looked at before they have an
engineering report made.
Meeting was then recessed tor lunch at the Odd Fellow
Hall and reconvened at 1 :15 p.m.
Final roll cali was then taken by Dorothy Seufer.
President Paul Frank then gave his report. That the crest
of the dam at Nee No She had been raised one foot over the
minimum that the safety people had advised. Kiowa uses the
dam as a county road, thus '/3 of the responsibility was theirs
in this joint venture. He pointed out that the lakes were the
highest in approximately 40 years. He, then, commented on
the annual report in the book.
The appointed committees gave their reports as follows:
RULES AND ORDER OF BUSINESS: We, your committee
on Rules and Order of Business report as follows and recom.
mend the following order of business:

P3
