The information developed in this task will be used subsequently at several
points in the study. Preliminary quantifications and locations of water demands will be used
in Task 3 as criteria for selecting candidate reservoir sites. The final water demand
projections will be used, along with information about existing water supplies, to formulate
candidate projects in Task 6 and to evaluate projects in Task 7.

This task has been subdivided into three tasks to facilitate scheduling of the work of Task 3,
which depends in part on information to be developed in this task, and to encourage
dialogue concerning demand estimates to begin at the first PAG meeting.

The three sub-tasks are:

Sub-task 2a: Preliminary Review of Existing Demand Estimates
Sub-task 2b: Comprehensive Review of Water Demand Estimates
Sub-task 2c: Final Quantification of Water Demand Estimates

Task Leader: Dr. Roger Mann

Key Technical Support: Technlcal staff at Hydrosphere as needed.
