Up to eight
sites (including Ralph White Reservoir and Elkhead Reservoir, which have been identified by
the TSC) will be selected In Task 3 and subjected to a detailed evaluation in Task 5. In
addition, schedule and budget contingencies have been reserved to allow for two additional
sites to be evaluated In Task 5, should such sites be identified by April 1, 1991.

Provision has also been made for an iterative approach to fonnulation and evaluation of
projects. This process will first take place In Tasks 6 and 7 where up to six projects will be
fonnulated and evaluated. However, Hydrosphere and the TSC recognize that the results of
these tasks will likely provoke additional questions. It is possible that during the review of
projects to take place In Task 8, new project fonnulations or new evaluation criteria will
become evident. Thus, Tasks 8 and 9 have been structured to allow for refonnulation of new
projects and re-eva1uation of up to three projects using the criteria developed for Task 7 as
well as new evaluation criteria introduced in Task 8.

oS,;-,-__",
