Page and paragraph citations refer to the final environmental statement, (1) Page 14 last paragraph: Reference to the BSF&W was changed to the Colorado Division of Game, Fish and Parks. I. (2) Page 15, last sentence 1st paragraph: We did not accommocate the BSF&W suggestion to modify the language to read "arrangements will be made with the ColoradO Division of Game, Fish and Parks" because the Bureau of Reclamation and Colorado have not entered into a management agreement to date. Therefore, we can not prejudice each agency's position or make a statement that would preclude a state or Federal agency from possibly managing the grazing program. (3) Page 17, Item 3, last pa~ag~aph: The RSF&~ recommended the words "and stream" should be deleted. Rather than delete the words, the meaning ,<<as modified by adding "some" before "stream". While the stored water will provide no new stream habitat, it will maintain some stream habitat below the reservoir, and during low water sta~es the stream habitat in the upper portion of the reservoir will reappear each year. The BSF&W comment concerning sedimentation concentration was incorporated into the statement. Sedimentation concentrations will be reduced in the reservoir and in the water released from the dam. (4) Page 25, 2nd paragraph: ~~ accommodated the BSF&W recommendation to add the bald eagle to the list of birds and changed the reference from the "southern bald eagle" to bald eagle in Appendix D. (5) Page 39. Item 7., 2nd paragraph: BSF&W suggested deletion of the statement concerning the value of the littoral zone. We qualified the statement by saying that the quality of the littoral zone will be impaired by fluctuation. However, we do feel that the littoral zone will have some benefit to fish life since there will be terrestrial vegetation periodically inundated which should provide some protection to young-of-the-year game fish as well as limited spawning cover. . 67
