Box 311 <br />Canon City, Colorado 81212 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. McIntosh: <br /> <br />In connection with our requirement for riprap from Table Mountain under <br />Specifications No. DC-69~5. Pueblo Dam, and stipulations you previously <br />furnished a~d informally discussed with you by the Project Manager's <br />office, the Bureau of Reclamation accepts the responsibility for <br />compliance as follows: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1. The Bureau of Reclamation will schedule seeding of disturbed <br />and denuded areas at the quarry site and seeding of roads which <br />will not be retained, all to Bureau of Land Management specifica- <br />tions, subsequent to completion of quarrying and dressing up the <br />site. <br /> <br />2. The Bureau of Land Management has the right to demand <br />compliance by Bureau of Reclamation with stipulations which are <br />not being adhered to. <br /> <br />3. There will be no disturbance of the terrain visible to Highway <br />115 except for a road into the quarry site which will make use of <br />the topography so that only minimal damage is done to the scenic <br />and vegetative qualities. Existing roads will be used to greatest <br />extent possible in the minin~ plan. <br /> <br />The following stipulations will be included in the mining plan to be <br />submitted by the contractor for approval: <br /> <br />1. The soil cover of the quarry area will be placed to one side <br />and later evenly distributed across the quarried area upon <br />completion of the quarrying. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />59 <br />
