Determination and display of impacts and ramifications associated <br /> <br />with choosing each of the alternative futures, as well as the <br /> <br />impacts associated with accommodating or resolving major problems <br />relative to water supply, water quality, recreation, fish and <br /> <br />~ <br />C'1 <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />wildlife, irrigation, flood control, wastewater manaqer.Jent, etc. <br /> <br />o Participation in the determination of state/regional priorities, <br />conclusions and recommendations for future water and related <br /> <br />resources programs and activities. <br /> <br />. Participation in the joint regional endeavors of research and <br />documentation of the 10 states' diverse programs and capabilities <br />as well as those of private and nongovernmental entities to <br /> <br />determine the regional consensus of what the federal role should <br />be for meeting the future needs and desires of the states, the <br /> <br />region and the nation. <br /> <br />The extensive effort necessary to obtain the coordination required <br /> <br />among federal agencies because of fragmented jurisdictional mandates is well <br /> <br /> <br />recognized. Equally important and comparable is the extensive coordination <br /> <br /> <br />required among the many agencies within the individual basin states. In <br /> <br />addition to these, extensive effort is mandatory to provide the coordination <br />and collaboration required to bring ten states, ten federal agencies, and <br /> <br />two compact commissions together to prorluce results and recommendations, <br /> <br />including state and regional priorities, that are acceptable to the ~1RBC. <br /> <br />The Missouri River Basin Commission will conduct the specific problem <br />analysis in accordance with the guidelines and procedures described in <br />the following narrative material and as reflected in Figure 1 (specific <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br />......-. --" -~._. <br />
