<br />. <br /> <br />onlU3~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />Lyman Project <br />Work continued at Meeks Cabin Dam throughout the report period. <br /> <br />It appears that the contractor will complete work on the outlet <br /> <br />facilities in time for initiating storage this spring, Construction <br />cleanup is scheduled to be completed before summer. <br />Eden Project <br />Earth1ining and structure modification activities remained shut down <br /> <br />for the winter. <br /> <br />Emery County Project <br />Installation of rock-filled wire baskets for drainage inlets and <br /> <br />placement of buried membrane lining in segments of Cottonwood Creek- <br /> <br />Huntington canal will be resumted in March and completed this spring. <br /> <br />Central Utah, Bonneville Unit <br /> <br />A $303,111 contract was awarded February S, 1971 for constructing <br /> <br />the 2.4-mi1e long access road to the outlet portal site for Stillwater <br /> <br />Tunnel. Work on the Water Hollow tunnel continued at a rapid rate. <br /> <br />Concrete placements have been completed for the tunnel invert and <br /> <br />70 percent of the arch lining is in place. The contractor for Currant <br /> <br />and Layout tunnels continues with modification of its Robbins mole in <br /> <br />expectation of beginning tunneling operations late in the spring. <br /> <br />At Soldier Creek Dam tunneling operations are progressing well on <br /> <br />both the upper and lower outlet tunnels. Excavation work is being <br /> <br />carried on for the upper outlet works chute and stilling basin. Dam <br /> <br />foundation stripping is underway and work continues on the East Side <br /> <br />access road and service road to the outlet tunnel. The contractor <br /> <br />has stated its intent to divert Strawberry River through the lower <br /> <br />7 <br />
