<br />aGIO?') <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />outlet tunnel and begin dam embankment placing operations in the summer of <br /> <br />1971. <br /> <br />Hammond Project <br /> <br />Bids were opened February 23 for lowering Armenta Canyon Siphon and <br /> <br />providing erosion control structures on the Main Canal. <br /> <br />CRSPPOWER OPERATIONS AND MARKETING <br /> <br />Cumulative revenue for the Colorado River Storage Project through Decem- <br /> <br />ber 1970 exceeded 104 million dollars. The highest monthly revenue to date was <br />almost three million dollars in July 1970. <br /> <br />A meeting for all preference customers was held in Salt lake City on Novem- <br /> <br />ber 24, 1970 to discuss power supply in the seventies. Mr. Gilbert Stamm, <br /> <br />Assistant Commissioner for Resource Management, was the keynote speaker. <br /> <br />Mr. James Bradley, Chief of the Power Division in Washington, D.C., was also <br /> <br />in attendance. It was pointed out at the meeting that the Bureau is faced with <br /> <br />uncertainties regarding the on-line date of future generation and, therefore, is <br /> <br />not in a position to offer assurances that Storage Project power would be available <br /> <br />to meet customers' load growth beyond 1975. The Bureau expects to make such a <br /> <br />determination within the next two years. <br /> <br />8 <br />
