A number of firms are in the process of evaluating the <br />project. <br /> <br />The Business Plan for Western Resource Transport was augmented with a book on <br />conceptual engineering data and a financial plan. <br /> <br />Anticipated November Activities <br /> <br />Followup meeting will be held with potential U.S. investor. <br /> <br />Investment opportunities will be presented to Pacific Rim companies. <br /> <br />ENGINEERING <br /> <br />September and October Activities <br /> <br />Work progressed in the Tulsa and Oenver offices of Aquatrain, Inc. regarding <br />the engineering aspects of Western Resource Transport. Detailed engineering <br />design work will begin in January 1985. <br /> <br />Investigation of the major equipment is being conducted. <br /> <br />Various arrangements of equipment for slurry and separation facilities are being <br />deve loped. <br /> <br />The detail design of the demonstration facility is being performed. <br /> <br />Equipment and instrumentation for the demonstration facilities are being <br />evaluated. <br /> <br />Anticipated November Activities <br /> <br />Refinement and details for Utah and Colorado coal collection system will be <br />developed. The project to be funded wi 11 be selected based on the coal use r' s <br />coal specifications. Wyoming coal will be the less expensive but Utah and <br />Colorado coal are higher quality. <br /> <br />3 <br />
