ENVIRONMENT September and October Activities To accommodate recent changes in the origination point for the liquid carbon dioxide/coal slurry pipeline, a supplement to the Corridor Study must be pre- pared. The supplement will cover the area from Gillette, WYoming, to the south- west corner of the State. A statement of work for this supplement has been prepared. Work on the supplement is on hold pending funding for the slurry pipeline. Copies of legislation on pipeline right-of-way have been obtained from states to be traversed by the slurry line. These are being evaluated to determine appli- cability of state eminent domain laws to coal slurry pipelines. Anticipated November Activities Further environmental activities will be minimal until funding for the slurry pipeline is obtained. PUBLIC INFORMATION/INVOLVEMENT September and October Activities The Oil & Gas Journal announced revised plans for the liquid carbon dioxide/coal slurry pipeline in its September 17 edition. The article is very accurate except for the map showing the pipeline route. Please refer to the full-page map enclosed for the correct route. An article on the project was prepared for a future issue of Right of Way, the magazine of the International Right of Way Association. Reclamation and Aquatrain, Inc. representatives spoke to the Price, Utah Chamber of Commerce on October 3 regarding the revised project. Anticipated November Activities A public involvement plan will be prepared for actions which are expected to resume in January 1985.
