t~: ~-. ..-~.;..

.

.

003f14~

the Woodruff-Cokeville Project (Wyoming-Utah) was forwarded to the

states and interested agencies for the 30-day review and cOmment.

It is expected that the Florida Project (Colorado) definite plan

report will be completed and submitted to Washington in December.

The supplement to the Weber Basin Project (Utah) definite plan report
'---'~

is scheduled for completion and submittal to Washington in January.

,T.R,ANSMIS~JON SYSTE~~I?!I;;S: A series of meetings have been

held by the Bureau of Reclamation with both private and preference power

users to discuss the technical aspects of plans for the transmission

system authorized by Public Law 485. At the first meeting held on

July 10, the Bureau of Reclamation presented a plan for a transmission

system for the consideration of all interested parties. On October 13

at a meeting arranged by the Bureau of Reclamation, the private power

companies presented a proposed transmission system plan to representatives

of all potential power marketing agencies. The plan presented by the

companies for consideration entailed a comprehensive network of

transmission lines, about two-thirds of the circuit mileage of which

would be constructed by the companies and one-third by the Bureau of

Reclamation; Many technical considerations are involved in developing

plans for the transmission system adequate to meet future requirements

in the Upper Basin States. Careful consideration will be given to

these matters in the coming months by everyone concerned.

3
