I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Section lA - GENERAL DFSCRIPTION AND SCOPE OF TIlE WORK lA.l. GENERAL. This section covers the general project description and scope of the constrUction work under these specifications designated PETERSON RESERVOIR DAM PROJECT for The City of Greeley. The PROJECT is located approximately forty-five (45) miles west of Fort Collins, Colorado with access via Colorado Highway 14 and County Road?? lA.2. WORK INCLUDED UNDER THESE SPECIFICATIONS. The work under these specifica- tions shall include furnishing all equipment and materials; providing all labor, supervision, .tlmini<tra- tion and management; and supplying all constrUction equipment, materials, and services necessary to perform the work complete in accordance with the specifications, drawings, and other contract documents, except as specifically excluded under WORK FURNISHED BY THE OWNER. ConstrUction surveying required to layout work including slope staking and location of strUctures. Cross-section surveying as required to measure quantities of work to be paid for as unit prices and for providing as-constrUcted drawings of the completed project. Clearing ,stripping, and grubbing all excavation and fill in the dam and spillway area, outlet channel, borrow areas, and saddle dam. Removing and stockpiling riprap on the existing dam and saddle dam as shown on the Drawings. Excavation and removal of the existing dam including existing outlet works and service spillway piping and appurtenant strUctures. ConstrUction of new "Roller Compacted Concrete Dam" and spillway. ConstrUction of outlet works including gate tower, outlet conduit, and outlet strUcture including all gates and operators. Excavation and fill as required to raise the existing saddle dam (existing emergency spillway) embankment. Furnish and place riprap in the spillway and outlet channels, on the upstream face of the saddle dam, and around the dam as shown. Aggregate surfacing and erosion control seeding of all disturbed areas above the normal waterline. The above explanations and listings are intended to give a general definition of the scope of the work under these specifications and shall not be constrUed to be an itemized listing of each element of work required. The Contractor shall be responsible for constrUction of complete facilities, conforming in all respects to the details and requirements of the specifications, drawings, and other contract documents. lA-l 92.{)24
