The Flood Control Act of 1944 also
authorized integration of the Fort Peck Project with the P-S MaP for
operations and repayment purposes.

In addition to the P-S MBP authorization, four projects (Colorado-Big

Thompson, Kendrick, Shoshone, and Riverton) were combined with the

P-S MaP for marketing, operational, and repayment purposes in 1954,

and the fifth, North Platte, was combined in 1959. These projects are
known as the "Integrated Projects" of the P-S MBP, Western Division.

The Riverton Project was reauthorized as a unit of the P-S MaP by

Public Law 91-409 on September 25, 1970.

IV. FINANCIAL AND RATE HISTORY
Since power marketing rates were established initially in the report
on "Proposed Interim Rate Schedule for Missouri River Basin Project,"

dated March 1950, studies have been made periodically to test the

adequacy of the rates to provide, sufficient revenue for project repay-

ment. Certain of these studies are regarded as "landmarks" in the

history of financial management of the project because of the intro-

duction of subatantial changes in procedures and criteria. Several of

these atudies have been selected as illustrative of the more signifi-

cant changes which have occurred. They are: Economic and Financial

Analysis, 1954-1955; Economic and Financial Analysis, 1958; Power System

5
