<br />003793 <br /> <br />PHASE 3: Public Participation in Wilderness Study Are2 Inventory. <br /> <br />Through workshops, the public will have a chance to review the BLM <br /> <br />inventory and add or subtract wilderness study areas per approved <br /> <br />criteria. <br /> <br />PHASE 4: Development of Suitable or Nonsuitable Recommendations Through <br />BL~ Existin~ Planning Syst~. <br /> <br />The public will have an opportunity to provide input into the analysis <br /> <br />and to recommend how wilderness study areas should be managed, considerin <br /> <br />all resource potential uses and public attitudes. <br /> <br />PHASE ,: Public Involvement in Suitability and Nonsuitability Recommendation <br />Reports. <br /> <br />The public will be involved through environmental statements <br /> <br />meetings, public meetings on wilderness proposals, and formal <br /> <br />hearings in developing reports that will go to the President. <br /> <br />PHASE 6: Public Participation in Mana~ement Plan. <br /> <br />The public will be asked to help prepare management plan for <br /> <br />each wilderness area that is included in the wilderness system. <br /> <br />30 <br />
