The same procedure as is required <br /> <br />for a suitable area will be followed, i.e., a formal public hearing. <br /> <br />(iii) Study Area Report (Revised). Any change that results <br /> <br />from public input will be placed in the revised study area report, and, if <br /> <br />necessary, the area will be reanalyzed through the BUM planning system. <br /> <br />(iv) Report to the Pre~ident. The documentation developed <br /> <br />during the wilderness review process for each study area will be <br /> <br />compiled into a report for submission to the President. Materials incor- <br /> <br />porated into the report will include: (1) data developed in the inventory, <br /> <br />(2) staff discussions and supporting rationale used to form recommendations, <br /> <br />(3) other resource situations, issues, and recommendations used in the study <br /> <br />area from the Management Framework Plan II and III, (4) the BUM's non- <br /> <br />suitability recommendation along with a specific map of the area, and (5) <br /> <br />public document record from the hearing. <br /> <br />VI. Public Involvement Summary <br /> <br />The public will heve an opportunity to participate in the wilderness <br /> <br />review rro~ess. There are six different phases for public participation. <br />The six phases are: <br /> <br />PHASE 1: Preparation of a Wilderness Policy and Review Procedure. <br /> <br />Working with the public to prepare a wilderness policy and <br /> <br />review procedure based on a draft. (This is the current phase, <br /> <br />i.e., the draft you are now reviewing.) <br /> <br />PHASE 2: Notify Public of Final Approved Wilderness Review Process. <br /> <br />Copies of final procedure will be ~nnnunced in the Federal <br /> <br />Register and sent to parties that participated in Phase 1, and <br />anyone requesting copies. <br /> <br />29 <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />:' <br /> <br />" <br />
