33, Judge Stone asked if it were planned to reactivate the committee,
composed of a representative of Denver Water Board, Colorado Water Conserva-
tion Board, South Platte Water Users Association, and. Bureau of Reclamation,
to determine the distribution of project water among various eastern slope
interests, Mr, Batson stated that the committee was appointed about two
years ago to study and make recommendations on two specific assignments:

(1) Selection of Tunnel Route
(2) Review water supply available from western Colorado.

The assignments were completed more than a year ago.

34. Mr, Patterson and I reviewed the current problems in connection
with decisions needed to select the project service areas in the South Platte
Basin and make determination of the needs for Western Slope water in these
areas. Mr. Batson has the problem under consideration but did not make a
decision at the meeting. This prOblem, while of interest to the State of
Colorado, Region VII, and the Hydrology Division, is of no particular interest
to Region IV.
