<br />32, Mr. Knights stated that it is his plan to submit a single report
<br />for this project on June 1948. The status report will be combined with and
<br />made part of the interim report. The overall project development possibilities
<br />will be discussed as the basis of selecting the capacity of the Montezuma
<br />tunnel through the Continental Divide. The report will describe an initial
<br />project for authorization and construction. The magnitude of. the suggested
<br />initial project has not.been definitely determined. Economic studies of
<br />power developments along the South Platte River must be completed before
<br />decision can be made on the desirability of including some of these features
<br />in the initial project. It is planned that the initial project features
<br />will permit the annual diversion of between 150,000 acre-feet and 190,000
<br />acre-feet from the Blue River watershed to the South Platte basin. The fea-
<br />tures tentatively selected for initial project development and their estimated
<br />construction costs as of July 1946 (to show cost as of July 1947 apply factor
<br />of 1,15) are shown in the following table: (Note: Costs and features .are
<br />tentative and subject to change as investigations progress).
