Progress in implementing the onfarm
measures in this area in Utah has been most encouraging,
particularly the large numper of contract signings under CRSC as
well as the local participation. The success of the program can
be measured in terms of the degree of participation by the local
community, the magnitude of the salt load reduction, and!: the
obligation of all funds allocated to this unit. The Council'
appreciates USDA's effort to implement an adequate monitoring and
evaluation program in the Uinta Basin.

Grand Vallev Unit. As with the Uinta BaSin, the Council
commends USDA with the excellent progress in the Grand Valley.
During the year, all of the CRSC contract funds were obligated for
onfarm activities, and all carryover ACPsalinity funds Were
utilized.
