S. Regular Hours at Work.

The regular hours of work are those

presoribed for employees serving under Givil Servioe but the work requires

muoh more time than that thue prescribed. The work of Director cannot be

adequately performed without putting in more hours than thoae prescribed

for those serving under Civil Service.

7. Description in detail of duties to be performed in this position
and the percentage of time the employee will spend on each duty.
(a) It is impoB8ible to estimate the percentage of time the Director

will spend in the performance ot the various duties imposed upon him.

(b) Section B of Ohapter 265, Sesll10n Laws ot Colorado 19.37, creating

the Colorado Water Oonservation Board, oontains the follonng language I

n _ Tho Board shall appoint a director who shall
be the chief administrative officer of the Board to serve at
its pleasure.- The person so appointed as director shall by
virtue of said appointment be a member at large of the Board.
and shall be well-versed in weter matters and qualified by
experience, knOll'ledge, and personali~y to represent the Board
on occasion !lB it may require. The offices of director and
secretary of the Beard may be held by the same person."

The Director at the present time 18, and tor 8everal years last past,

has also served as Secretary of the Board.

(c) The detailed duties of the Director may be summarized as followsl
(1) To serve as Chief Administrative officer of the Board.
(2) To carry out the policies and directives of the Board

with respect to the conservation, utilization, and protection of the

State's water resources.
