The project was scheduled for completion by <br />1979 but has been delayed because of environmental issues. The project has <br />been assuMed to be on line in 1990. <br /> <br />16. Between the Colorado River at Lees Ferry, Arizona, Virgin River at <br />Littlefield, Arizona, and Colorado River below Hoover Dam, Arizona- <br />Nevada <br /> <br />Southern Nevada Water Project, Nevada. The first stage of the South- <br />ern Nevada Water Project was completed by the \~ater and Power Resources <br />Service and was accepted by the Colorado River Commission on November I, <br />1971. The project is operated by the Las Vegas Valley Water District to <br />provide supplemental municipal and industrial water to the cities of Las <br />Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Boulder Ci ty, and to Nell i s Ai r <br />Force Base. It will also provide water to the potential Eldorado Valley <br />Development.
