PROG~AMS THUS FAR DEVELOPED AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
P1'og1'am P/?
As indicated previously the first software to be developed
for analyses of call data was a program to replicate t~e manu~l
in-priority/out-of-priority analyses depicted by Figure A-3.
Program PR creates output in the form of Figures A-Sa through
A-5d. The only other input items, besides that for optional
printouts, include: the name of the water right of interest or
some other identification for the analysis (optional)! the
priority date of the water right of interest! the Wilter District
number in which the water right of interest is located! defini-
tion of the study period by entry of a beginning year and an
ending yeilr! and definition of the season of use in which the
right is entitled to divert by entry of a month and day on which!
the water right may begin to divert and the month and day of the
last date of a year on which the water right may divert.
Figures A-Sa and A-5b represent the detailed output
(optional), on a day-by-day basis, of the status of the water
right's entitlement to divert, based on divisional call records.
The west tlitch, which diverts from Elk Creek, a tributary to the.
North Fork of the South Platte River in Water District 23(80), i~
taken for an example. (Refer to Figure A-3 for a comparable ana-
lysis prepared manually.) The -I- represents an In-priority
status! the -0- represents and 2ut-of-priority status. Blanks
within the calendar format represent the period of the year in
which the season of use precludes the water right's entitlement
to divert. For each month of each year, Figures A-Sa and A-5b
summarize the water right's in-priority status by the number of

A-8

'-'
i1

.L

-i~ ,: :... -::. ~,,\ - ~

.;
_I" _ ,-- _:_~L:--.'i#j
~i.:_ ;.,lbl,\. ~ '. ~,J;l~
