<br />OOlti82 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Hayden-Craig Steam Plants <br /> <br />Additional steam-electric generatiIlg units are presently scheduled for com- <br />mercial operation by 1980 and will increase depletions as shown. <br /> <br />Tract C-a Oil Shale Prototype Development (Rio Blanco Oil Shale Pro;ect- <br />Gulf-Standard of Indiana) <br /> <br />Latest estimates indicate a 60,000 acre-foot water depletion will be required <br />to support a 300,000 b/day operation. Recent developments based upon the <br />Detailed Development Plan and desired moratorium for lease payments indicate <br />heavy use of water will not occur until the mid-1980's. <br /> <br />Tract C-b Oil Shale Prototype Development (Atlantic Richfield, Shell O~l, <br />Shale Oil Corporation and Ashland Oil) <br /> <br />Present estimates require 18,000 acre-feet depletion annually to support <br />a 100,000 b/day operation. Heavy use of water is not expected before tte <br />mid-1980's based upon information from the <Detailed Development Plan and <br />the desired moratorium on lease p~yments. <br /> <br />New Mexico <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Present depletions (1977) were derived as follows: <br /> <br />Irrigation <br />Other <br />Hammond Project <br /> <br />87 (1965 data Type I) <br />13 <br />10 <br />110 <br /> <br />San Juan-Chama Pro;ect <br /> <br />Diversions began in 1971 and have averaged about 90,000 acre-feet for the <br />period 1971-76. Future authorized diversions are expected to average <br />110,000 acre-feet. <br /> <br />Animas-La Plata <br /> <br />See discussion under Colorado. <br /> <br />Nava;o Reservoir Evaporation <br /> <br />Reservoir evaporation is based upon a 60-year CRSP sequence study made in <br />1973. <br /> <br />Hogback Expansion <br /> <br />Minor increases in depletions are expected to occur by 1980 and continue <br />to increase to 1990. <br /> <br />8 <br />
