(a) The Secretary of the <br />Interior shall operate Glen Canyon Dam and <br />take other reasonable mitigation measures <br />in such a manner as to protect. mitigate <br />adverse impacts to. and improve the <br />condition of the environmental. cultural <br />and recreational resources of Grand Canyon <br />National Park and Glen Canyon National <br />Recreation Area downstream of Glen Canyon <br />Dam. under operating procedures that are <br />subject to. and consistent with. the water <br />storage and delivery functions of Glen <br />Canyon Dam pursuant to the Colorado River <br />Compact. the Upper Colorado River Basin <br />Compact. .... and other laws relating to <br />regulation of the Colorado River. <br /> <br />(b) The ... Colorado River Storage <br />Project Act ... is amended as follows: <br /> <br />(1) By adding the following <br />sentence at the end of section 3: "It <br />is the further intention of Congress <br />that the Secretary shall operate Glen <br />Canyon Dam and take other reasonable <br />mitigation measures so as to protect. <br />mitigate damages to. and improve the <br />condition of the enviromental. <br />cultural. and recreational resources of <br />Grand Canyon National Park and Glen <br />Canyon National Recreation Area <br />downstream of Glen Canyon Dam. subject <br />to and consistent with the water <br />storage and delivery functions of Glen <br />Canyon Dam pursuant to the Colorado <br />River Compact. the Upper Colorado River <br />Basin Compact. .... and other laws <br />relating to regulation of the Colorado <br />River.
