Responses to the first set of interro~a' <br />tories were later submitted to the Regional Soliciwf for review and <br /> <br />~1ay, 1989 <br /> <br />comment. <br /> <br />Jordanelle Dam. State 2 <br />The contract for Jordanelle Dam. Stage 2, was awarded April 26, <br />1989, to Granite Construction Company, of \Vatsonville. California. in <br />the amount of $78,729,804. The engineer's estimate was $79,348,880. <br /> <br />u2Jn <br /> <br />~1unidpal and Industrial System <br />General <br />Jordan Aqueduct Operation and Maintenance Agreement was <br />executed by Mctropolilan Water District of Sail Lake City and Salt <br />Lake County \Vater Conservancy District, with Central Utah Water <br />Conservancy District approving the agreement. The document was <br />transmined [0 the regional office for approval by the United States. <br />Provo River fishery flow meetings were held with representatives of <br />water user groups on May 9, 26, and 27. 1989, to develop a letter of <br />understanding regarding meeting minimum fishery flows until <br />Jordanelte Reservoir is operational. A briefing meeting was also held <br />May 24, 1989, with wildlife coalition and environmental interests, to <br />discuss the letter of understanding. Meetings are planned during June. <br />1989 [0 finalize the interim operation plan. <br /> <br />June, 1989 <br /> <br />Diamond Fork System <br /> <br />;.. <br /> <br />Syar Tunnel <br />The contractor continued mi~ellaneous work in the portal area, <br />including various carpentry and electrical work. fabrication, mainten- <br />ance, and repair of tunnel trucks and flatcars. The contractor also <br />~an fabricating twO personnel-hauling cars. Five steel sets were <br />installed in the tunnel to be used as lifting supportS for the tunnel <br />boring machine (TBM) assembly. Delivery of the TBM is expected <br />early in June, 1989.
