Local concerns regarding fish and wildlife <br /> <br />habitat value replacement on the remaining planning <br /> <br />activities must be resolved before the canal lining portion <br /> <br />of this unit is implemented. <br /> <br />The Council recommends that Reclamation, USDA, and <br /> <br />Fish and ~ildlife Service continue to work with local water <br /> <br />users and the Colorado Water Conservation Board to resolve <br /> <br />this problem. <br /> <br />Uinta Basin Unit. The plan formulation studies and <br /> <br />reports on this unit are complete for the Stage I area. <br /> <br />The Council recommends that the Secretary of the Interior <br /> <br />submit the plan formulation report on the Uinta Basin Unit <br /> <br />to the President and the Congress for construction <br /> <br />authorization of the unit. <br /> <br />Reclamation is currently engaged in plan formulation <br /> <br />on Stage II. Many features of Stage II complement the <br /> <br />on farm activities now being planned by USDA. The Council <br /> <br />urges ~rompt completion of the joint effort by both <br /> <br />agencies in the Stage II study. <br /> <br />-8- <br />
