Dolores Canyon Evaporation.

For this alternative, a cut off wall would be constructed on Salt Creek
about 1/2 mile upstream from its confluence with the Dolores River. From
the wall, water would be diverted into evaporation ponds located along the
Dolores Canyon floor. This alternative plan would require highway
relocation and heavy riprapping on the river side of the dikes. No
pumping would be required.

Construction would take about 2 year.

5

("', ~i
{.~ ~

.',',
> .
,v
