Health, Environment <br /> <br />"" <br />001. <br />f'......i <br /> <br />and Welfare Related Goals <br /> <br />To reduce the population exposure levels of carbon monoxide in the Denver <br />metropolitan area from 420,000 person days to 210,000 person days and <br />reduce population exposure by an equivalent percentage in Colorado <br />Springs, Ft. Collins, and Greeley by June 30, 1985. <br /> <br />2. To reduce the population exposure to harmful levels of ozone from 270 sq. <br />mi. violation days to 200 sq. mi. violation days in the Denver <br />metropolitan area by June 30, 1985. <br /> <br />3. To maintain the population exposure to harmful levels of sulfur dioxide, <br />nitrogen dioxide and lead at zero person days through June 30, 1985. <br /> <br />4. To reduce the population exposure to harmful levels of particulate matter <br />from 70 sq. mi. violation days to 55 sq. mi. violation days by June 30, <br />1985. <br /> <br />5. To reduce population exposure from toxic and hazardous emissions (e.g. <br />asbestos and benzene) by June 30, 1985. <br /> <br />6. To reduce population-exposure to other non-criteria air pollutants by June <br />30, 1985. <br /> <br />7. To prevent the deterioration of air quality in attainment and pristine <br />areas within the limits of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards <br />(NAAQS) from such pollutants as particulate matter and sulfur dioxide by <br />June 30, 1985. <br /> <br />8. To reduce urban haze caused by man made emissions by June 30, 1985. <br /> <br />9. To prevent adverse effects to the State's "sensitive areas" as defined by <br />federal land manager and/or other responsible officials by June 30, 1985. <br /> <br />10. To maintain odors from agricultural and other chemical processes such that <br />citizen complaints to APeD do not exceed 1,000 complaints/year through <br />June 30, 1985. <br /> <br />Technical/Policy/Administrative Support Goals <br /> <br />11. To establish a program in APCD which address research and development for <br />fine particulate matter and urban haze standards, health effects, <br />monitoring, etc. by June 30, 1985. <br /> <br />12.
