This waste must be
controlled from sources of generation through final treatment, storage, and
disposal to protect public health and safety, and prevent environmental
contamination. A State regulatory control program consistent with the Federal
requirements is needed to qualify for an authorized program. State legislation may
need to be amended and regulations must be developed that meet Federal requirements
and standards.

Milestones

Responsibility

COIllpletion Date

Development of regulations authorized
by the State Statute relating to the
Management of Hazardous Waste
(25-15-Parts 1, 2 & 3, C.R.S. 1973. as
amended) .

CDH

February. 1983

A) Assess Adequacy of State Statutes
(25-15 Parts 1, 2 & 3.
