Inspections are made of: a) treatment, <br />storage and disposal sites and facilities; b) generators and transporters of <br />hazardous waste; c) non-notifiers and; d) closure and post-closure plans. <br />I <br /> <br />A manifest system is necessary to "track" hazardous wastes from sources of <br />generation through final treatment storage and disposal. The Department assists <br />EPA in inspections, surveillance, and monitoring pertinent to enforcement actions <br />to assure compliance with RCRA requirements.
