<br />, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />G01759 <br /> <br />Advance Planninq <br /> <br />The Definite Plan Report for the Fruitland Mesa Project <br />near Hotchkiss has been completed and approved by the Commissioner. <br />Preconstruct ion investigations have been in progress since issuance <br />of the Definite Plan Report. Specification surveys have been <br />completed for the Gould Canal structures and structure designs have <br />been initiated. Studies are now underway to determine the final <br />location for the proposed Fruitland Mesa Canal diversion dam. The <br />Commissioner of Reclamation's Office has approved a preliminary draft <br />of the project repayment contract, and contract negotiations will <br />begin with the Fruitland Mesa Conservancy District in the near future. <br /> <br />CWCB/LDM/mm - 8-20-68 <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br />, <br />
