<br />00 <br />C'J <br />l"- <br /><..:; <br />,-~ <br />~ <br />r:) <br /> <br />CHAPTER II <br /> <br />GENERAL APPROACH TO THE WORK <br /> <br />General public input <br /> <br />The general public and the water users will have input to Stage Two <br />studies primarily through contact with the salinity coordinating committee. <br />The public will also have input through a meeting to evaluate alternatives <br />and scope environmental issues. Input received from the meeting will be a <br />consideration in plan selection and will be used to determine those issues <br />warranting discussion in the environmental statement. Environmental scop- <br />ing is part of an open process called for by CEQ regulations to identify <br />issues related to the project and is continuous thus allowing the public <br />the opportunity to respond throughout the course of the study. The public <br />will also have the opportunity to review the draft environmental statement <br />as discussed in Chapter IV. A tentative schedule of some of the public <br />involvement events is presented on the following page. <br /> <br />12 <br />
