<br />8 <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />o To provide needed coordination of the Corps studies with those of the <br />General Contractor, the respective states, the High Plains Council, <br />and other involved participants. <br /> <br />GENERAL CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />In support of the Corps interstate water transfer studies, the General <br />Contractor agreed to provide the following information as part of the <br />regional study element B-1 requirements: <br /> <br />o Regional (High Plains-Ogallala Aquifer) water deficiencies associated <br />with each of the alternative water management strategies; <br /> <br />o Potential sources of waters available for transfer; and in coopera- <br />t i on with the Corps, ranges of quantities of water to be consi dered <br />for transfer; <br /> <br />o Locations, acreages and water quantities needed at local levels; and <br />general areas for necessary terminal storage facil ities to serve <br />those areas of need; <br /> <br />o Crop water requirements and seasonal distribution of agricultural <br />water demand for imported waters; <br /> <br />o Water distribution requirements and costs from terminal storage sites <br />to farm head gates ; <br /> <br />o Estimation of transmission and distribution losses and concurrence on <br />methods for estimating future upstream depletions and downstream flow <br />requirements for each alternative; <br /> <br />o Projections of energy requi rements and costs for operations of the <br />water transfer systems; <br /> <br />o Necessary coodination between the Corps, General Contractor and state <br />studies; <br />
