Through interagency agreement with <br /> <br /> <br />U.S.G.S. we are getting available water basin data. <br /> <br /> <br />Wildlife <br /> <br />Wildlife has been researched utilizing a large amount of <br />consultants. Reptiles, birds, mammals and insects have all <br /> <br /> <br />been studied to determine their location and the habitat for <br /> <br /> <br />their survival. Here a prairie falcon is being equipped with <br /> <br /> <br />a radio transmitter. <br /> <br />Recreation <br /> <br />Finally in recreation, a large variety of information has been <br /> <br />gathered. Some of the studies completed were a report on the <br /> <br />history of recreation, and identification of organized recrea- <br /> <br />tion groups and their activities, a study of education uses, a <br /> <br />scenic quality analysis of the desert and an analysis of areas <br /> <br />which have wilderness characteristics is in process. <br /> <br />All this data will be analyzed to identify significant resource <br /> <br />areas. <br /> <br />The resource specialists are now at the point where they are <br /> <br />beginning to develop recommendations for resource. It is here <br /> <br />where the desert-wide plan begins. <br />These recommendations then go through an extensive evaluation <br /> <br />to determine where recommendations conflict. <br /> <br />Impacts are analyzed. Impact of the recommendation on other <br /> <br />resources, on the economy, on the environment are evaluated and <br /> <br />C-15 <br />
