<br />003357 <br /> <br />Leland Freeborn Salinity Control PrOject <br /> <br />This project is being planned by a consultant under contract with <br />the Buena Vista Resource Conservation District (RCD) using PL-92-500. <br />Section 205 (j) funds. Preliminary studies are positive, Additional <br />local agencies have joined the RCD in sponsoring an application for <br />PL-566 assistance. A request for planning authorization will be <br />submitted for next year's starts. <br /> <br />Lower Silver Creek <br /> <br />House Agriculture Hearing for this project is scheduled for <br />September 10, 1984. We expect the Chief's notification that this <br />project is operational by December 1984. <br /> <br />Wood1ake-Ante1ope <br /> <br />The Chief has concurred in the plan and authorized signing the work <br />plan agreement. This is scheduled for September 1984. This project <br />is expected to be operational in FY-85. <br /> <br />Big Springs <br /> <br />This project is inactive. <br /> <br />Bean Creek <br /> <br />No change in status. <br /> <br />Lower Cal1equas Creek <br /> <br />The US Army Corps of Engineers Study is still in progress, This <br />project will receive further consideration once that study is <br />complete. <br /> <br />COLORADO: Shavano Valley Watershed <br /> <br />A planning start was received for this watershed. Planning activities <br />will begin in October 1984 with the geologic investigation of the <br />proposed retarding structure, The watershed plan is scheduled for <br />completion in March 1986. <br /> <br />UTAH: Hancock Cove <br /> <br />The draft plan for Hancock Cove Watershed is still undergoing reV1S10n, <br />partly due to an authorized change in watershed boundaries. Additional <br />groundwater studies are being made to determine water source and <br />probable impacts of improved IWM on groundwater. <br /> <br />Oquirrh WaterShed <br /> <br />A pre-authorization request is being prepared for a flood protection <br />and soil erosion control PL-566. <br /> <br />D-9 <br />
