<br />Apache Junction-Gilbert Watershed <br /> <br />RWCD Floodway Reach 5 surveys and geological investigation have <br />been completed. <br /> <br />Harquaha1a Valley Watershed <br /> <br />Designs for the Centennial Levee Reach 1 were completed by Franzoy, <br />Corey and Associates, consultants for the Harquahala Irrigation <br />District, <br /> <br />Invitations to bid for the Centennial Levee Reach 1 have been issued <br />by the US Bureau of Reclamation. Bids are to be opened August 29, 1984. <br /> <br />A subsidence monitoring survey has been completed for the Harquaha1a <br />and Sadd1eback FRS. <br /> <br />Design of Centennial Levee Reach 2 is underway. <br />Vanar Wash Watershed <br /> <br />Repair of the Vanar Diversion by installation of three baffle chute <br />structures has been completed. <br /> <br />White Tanks Watershed <br /> <br />A subsidence monitoring survey has been completed on the White <br />Tanks 3 and 4 FRS. <br /> <br />LIFORNIA: Upper Stony Creek <br /> <br />The sponsors of this watershed protection project submitted an <br />application in November 1983. Previous studies and some pre- <br />application assistance made it possible to develop a pre-authorization <br />report by January 1984. The request for planning authorization was <br />denied, <br /> <br />South Fork Kinqs River <br /> <br />This also is a new application. Planning authorization was granted <br />in April 1984. Studies to date consist mostly of water quality <br />monitoring. The purpose of the project is drainage for salinity <br />control, <br /> <br />Cull Canyon <br /> <br />This is a new application for watershed protection and flood <br />prevention. The draft pr.e-authorization has undergone State Office <br />review and submission to Portland is planned contingent on adequate <br />public support. <br /> <br />b8 <br />
