<br />WESTPO/WSWC <br />CWIC along witn the Western states Water Council (WSWC) has advised <br />the Western Governors' Policy Office (WESTPG) of our interest in working <br />with WESTPO as a resource. Areas of interest include: <br />* Institutes assisting WSWC in preparing a report on the manner and <br />extent to whicll states and other non..federal entities finance water <br />projects and assisting in identifying additional mechanisms for <br />increasin\l financial participation. Such a report might be useful to <br />WESTPCl Governors in trleir assessment of various cost sharing <br />proposals lJeing considered by Congress and the Administration. <br />* l1aving Institute research proposals submitted to WEST PO and WSWC <br />memLJer states for review and comment. This interaction would <br />hopefully entlance the applicanility of research to state policy <br />makers and ennance the prospects for funding. <br />. Develupment of a priority list of isssues to be considered at a juint <br />WSWClWater Institute conference or seminar, the proposal to be <br />submit ted to WESTPO for possible sponsorship. <br /> <br />SYMF'llSIUM <br />A joint UWfH ICWIC symposium on "Pquatic Resources Management of the <br />Colorado Hiver Ecosystem" is to be held on November 16.;.18 in I.as Vegas, <br />Nevada.
