We find again a discussion <br /> <br />4 in Chapter C on page C-23, and more discussion of the Colorado <br /> <br />5 River squawfish and other fishes that are claimed to be endangere <br /> <br />6 We find that the Bureau of Reclamation has used throughout the <br /> <br />7 report a -- throughout the draft statement a report which is <br /> <br />8 designated by footnote 41 and several places: we request a copy <br /> <br />9 of that report. We also request a copy of the Bureau's analysis <br /> <br />10 by which they made the decision that the project will not endange~ <br /> <br /> 11 the endangered species. Concerning mule deer, there's a detailed <br /> 12 discussion on pages C-30 and C-31 concerning 1,700 head in <br />.-. 13 wyoming, 600 in Colorado. Again citing the report at footnote 41 ,'/,1 <br /> 14 it's implied that irrigated lands. or that deer do not graze on <br /> <br />15 irrigated fields, and this is of course widely known to not be <br /> <br />16 true. There's a discussion of the Pot Hook Reservoir in 600 <br /> <br />17 acres of critical winter range. We assume that this recommendatipn <br /> <br />18 for 16,000 acres of mitigation came from the Colorado Division <br /> <br />19 of Wildlife. Again, we request copies of the data upon which <br /> <br />20 the recommendation was made. We observed that the Colorado Divi- <br /> <br />21 sion of l~ildlife. however, is the largest single owner of stored <br /> <br />22 water in the Yampa River Basin, a basin in which the Savery-Pot <br /> <br />23 Hook project is to be constructed. To our knowledge there has <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />never been any claim that a Colorado Division of Wildlife reser- <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />voir would inundate or change habitat that is claimed to be <br />
