And we believe the final statement on the Savery-Pot Hook

3 project would be a good place to start. Much of the discussion

4 on the Savery-Pot Hook project has revolved around wildlifemiti-

5 gation, environmental issues and those kinds of problems. We

6 believe these problems will have to be addressed. The Colorado

7 River Water Conservation District is in the process of doing

a jus,t that. We believe that the Bureau in mitigation has requeste::l

9 far more mitigation than is necessary, on what they say at the

10 outset, is a relatively small project area, 11,000 irrigated,

11 16,000 acres mitigation. We request that the inconsistency be

12 cleared up in the final statement. On recreation development,

,-

13 we believe the Bureau has underestimated the recreation use on

I "::~:;

14 the reservoirs. It's historic that the Bureau underestimate

15 recreation use on a recreation reservoir. We notice that the

16 Bureau of Reclamation has requested 16,000 acres of private land

17 for mitigation. However, the data upon which the decision was

18 made is not included and we request the inclusion of the data.

19 We request, also, that the Bureau of Reclamation would work with

20 the Colorado Division of Wildlife. The official action taken by

21 the Colorado Division of wildlife requesting the 16,000 acres,

22 either it's a resolution or a motion by the official wildlife

23

body of the State of Colorado. We would like to have it include

24

in the final statement. We find in chapter B a reference to the

.~

25

.

Fish and Wildlife Service where it is stated that there is a
