The Authority if a member of the Colorado River
Energy Distributors' As~ociation (CREDA) and is a qual-
ified preference purchaser for federally produced
hydroelectric power.

On June 10, 1982, the Authority attended Western's
Public Information Forum held in Salt Lake City con-
cerning the marketing of Colorado River Storage Project
(CRSP) power and energy,in the post-1989 period. The
Authority submits the following comments on the
consolidated marketing plan as presented by Western.

Renewal of Existin~ CRSP Allocations

The Authority supports reallocation of the CRSP
contracts to existing preference customers on the same
basis as the 1962 allocations. The 1962 CRSP market-
i~g criteria allocated ~o the southern division a
"permanent allocation" qf approximately 7 percent of
the system's winter cap~bility and 20 percent of the
summer capability. New :contracts should be renewed in
the same amounts as now 'exist in both the upper and
lower basin states. Other options for allocations of
CRSP power should not be considered.

Marketinq Area

The Authority supports
for the CRSP marketing area.
been marketed during the' past
and lower basin states of the
area.
