One location reported 18 inches of <br />rainfall, The PIU11l Creek basin received up to 14 inches of rain, <br />and 10 inches of rainfall vas reported in the Cherry Creek basin. <br />Fast of Denver, the storm pattern extended over Kiova, Bijou, <br />:Badger, and Beaver Creeks, centering over the upstream portions <br />of the Bijou Creek basin. Flooding on the South Platte River <br />extended from PlUlll Creek to its mouth. The flood crest gradually <br />d:I.m1nished as it passed downstream until it vas joined by the <br />discharge from Bijou Creek, computed at 466,000 c.f.s. This <br />discharge increased the area of inundation and destruction for an <br />additional 190 miles along the South Platte River and for about <br />35 miles along the Platte River valley in Nebraska.
