<br />I: <br /> <br />IC"'. <br /> <br />1.(, <br />I, <br />i i <br /> <br /> <br />For many years people have agreed that <br />the Central Arizona Project (CAP) and <br />its water was vital to Thcson, but a major <br />concern was the potential cost of creating <br />the Project. Because of that concern, all <br />the agencies involved developed special <br />strategies to manage the costs of the CAP <br />and the repayments to the federal govern- <br />ment over a period of time. <br />The estimated cost of the entire Central <br />Arizona Project when all the components <br />are completed will be $3.44 billion, with <br />non-federal entities contributing an addi. <br />tional $3897 million for portions of the <br />project.
