The power market area tributary to the Fryi.n.gpan-Arkansas
Project, through integre,tion Ydththe Oolorado-Big Thompson
Project and local utili.ties, consiSts of the entire Fasterr. Slope
of Colorado and Grand and Swmni.t Counties on the Weetern &l,ope.
This area oomp:d.see rou~ly two-thirds ot the State and contains

a large preportion of the State's population and industries. The
area is served with electricity by 15 private utilities. 25 muni-
cipalities, II REA cooperatives, and the Bureau of ReclalJ1,ation.,

requirElllients of the aforElllientione<!. market area based on past
recQrds and normal future expansion. The chart also shows the

Project has been superimposed on the curve and indicates that
power deficiency in the market area will st111 exist after 19'9
