Pueblo Reservoir Enlargement- Dam safety concerns were raised and should be
addressed. Phasing on this and any project should be addressed. The impact of changing
population forecasts should also be addressed.
· Gravel Pits- Empty gravel pits could he ugly, however these could be popular for
recreation and fishing when full. Not many BLM issues were noted.
. Williams Creek Reservoir- Erosion issues on Fountain Creek were noted and the
potential impacts to water users between the reservoir and the Arkansas River.
3. USBLM concurred with the USBR that the USBR is the most likely lead federal permitting
agency.
4. A further discussion of potential BLM land trades was held. It was again noted that land
trades would help facilitate ownership of more desirable properties by the BLM. It was noted
that BLM land also is on the south side of Pueblo Reservoir at T21S R66W Sec. 3 NE NE '/.0.
5. Finally it was noted that the BLM supports the annual flow program on the Arkansas River,
that it provides 12 month/year benefits, and that continuing cooperation between the parties
would be beneficial.

2
