Work continued on Tasks 4 and 5 of the corridor study to
develop screening criteria for determining rights-of-way.

Met with Forest Service personnel in Price, Utah, to determine
their concerns about crossing the Manti-LaSalle National
Forest.

Work was begun on Work Order No. 2 to Bureau of Land Management/
Reclamation Interagency Agreement to define tasks and funding
for the EIS.

Work continued on Reclamation/U.S. Forest Service Memorandum
of Understanding (MOUl to define Forest Service participation
in corridor study, EIS preparation, and rights-of-way.

Determined funding and personnel requirements for FY84 BLM
corridor work. Forwarded to USBR Regional Office for processing.

6.2 ANTICIPATED JULY EVENTS

MOU with U.S. Forest Service to be signed.
BLM Work Order No.2, defining work and funds available
for preparation of EIS, to be finalized.

Work to begin on Working Agreement to Reclamation/Aquatrain,
Inc. Cooperative Agreement to define work and funding for
project EIS and planning of Stages I and II.

BLM to brief Reclamation on Task 5 of the corridor study
on July 12.

BLM to submit draft of corridor study to Reclamation for
review and comments.

Future energy demand study statement of work to be completed
by Western Area Power Administration.

Project status meeting with Los Angeles Department of Water
and Power is scheduled. Preliminary project report will
be presented.

6.3 ANTICIPATED AUGUST EVENTS

Working Agreement to Reclamation/Aquatrain, Inc. Cooperative
Agreement to be signed.

Project EIS public involvement plan completed in cooperation
with BLM EIS Services.

Final report on corridor study to be submitted to Reclamation.
