Summary of Basin Watershed Runoff

The annual runoff from the San Juan River watershed, which originated
in Colorado and left the State as compared with 'the total annual flow of the
San Juan River at Bluff, Utah, is shown in Table IV. All figures are given
in 1,000s of acre feet.

It will be noted from figures of the above table that the average annual

runoff of the San Juan River at Bluff, Utah, for the fifteen-year period,
1942-1956, is 17,600 acre feet less than the average annual runoff leaving
the State of Colorado for the same period. For the recent four-year low
flow period, 1953-1956, the river flow at the Bluff station averaged 80,300

acre feet per year less than the water leaving the State of Colorado.
