Fairchild <br />August 19, 1974 <br />Page eighteen <br /> <br />Construction Fund in an amount not to exceed ten million dollars <br />to finance construction of conservation projects selected for <br />authorization and funding by the General Assembly. <br /> <br />During the 1974 Fiscal Year, the Board staff <br />developed policy guidelines for use of this revolving construction <br />fund: prepared standards and requirements to determine eligibility <br />of applicants: developed application forms, guidelines, and require- <br />ments for submission of applications: and prepared general criteria <br />for evaluating feasibility of proposed projects. <br /> <br />Floodplain Studies <br /> <br />The Board has become actively engaged in a flood <br />hazard delineation program through cost sharing with Federal and <br />other state agencies and local governmental entities. The Board <br />has adopted a policy of direct financial assistance for the deline- <br />ation of flood hazard areas in an amount not to exceed 50 percent <br />of the total local cost.
