Investigation of remedial measures re- quired as a result of effects of Eufaula & Keystone Reservoirs on exist- ing water supply facilities. Survey-scope study to determine whether further improvements for flood control & related water conservation uses are advisable & to determine if improvements for navigation on the Poteau River to the vicinity of Poteau, Oklahoma are adviaable at this time. Survey-scope study to develop a compre- hensive integrated plan of improvement for water'resource development, includ- ing navigation, flood control & preser- vation of land in main valley of Red River. (Report is assigned to New Orleans Dist, LMVD. Tulsa Dist to furnish data for reach from Denison Dam to Fulton, Arkansas.) Survey-scope study of multiple-purpose reservoir located upstream from Broken Bow Reservoir on Mountain Fork in south- eastern Oklahoma. Studies for selection of basic plan & report preparation are programmed for continuation in FY 1963, with completion of report in FY 1964. Basic studies are being accomplished in con- junction with project planning. Survey report is tentatively programmed for FY 1964. Preliminary hydrologic, engineering & economic studies will be continued. The Soil Conserva- tion Service plans to participate in the study with reference to watershed programs under PL 566. Tentative plans will be formulated in FY 1963; more detailed investigations are to be made after FY 1963. Studies are continuing on tentative plans for navigation, flood control, bank stabilization, preservation of land & other water uses. Cur- rent fiscal year work will consist of hydro- logic, economic & other engineering studies. Completion of the report is currently scheduled for FY 1965. Investigation will be initiated in current fiscal year. Study will be coordinated with the Red River report listed above. Page 3 of 6
